Background
Note: Per Local Rule 5005-5, you must file a Motion to File Sealed Document BEFORE you file this event.
Local Rule 5005-5
(1) A party wishing to file an entire document under seal (e.g., an entire motion, an entire exhibit to a motion, etc.) must:
- file a motion requesting permission to file the document under seal;
- file the document provisionally under seal; and
- file a proposed order that contains a paragraph identifying the person, if any, who may have access to the document without further order of the court.
(2) Any document filed provisionally under seal without a motion requesting permission to file the document under seal will be unsealed.
(3) Effective August 10, 2020, the event was modified to add an entry number. The entry will be visible on the public docket.
No party has access to a Sealed Document unless an order allowing access is signed by the Judge.
Step-by-Step Procedures:

Select [Bankruptcy>Other] or [Adversary>Other]

Enter case number

Click Next
The verification screen will display

Verify you are docketing on correct case. /If yes

Select Sealed Document from pick list

Click Next

Select Party from party pick list or Add/create new party

Click Next

The Attorney/Party Association screen may display. If it does, click here. Click Next
- The following message will appear, click Next
This document, and any attachments, will be sealed. Per Local Rule 5005-4, you must file a Motion to File Sealed Document BEFORE you file a Sealed Document. If the Sealed document does not relate to another entry, please relate it to your Motion to File a Sealed Document.

Enter title of Sealed Document, click Next
- The PDF Document selection screen will display.

Browse, View and Attach the appropriate document/file

Click Next
- Select the category to which you event relates, click Next

Select the appropriate event(s) to which your event relates, click Next

The Final Text Editing Screen will display
Verify the accuracy of the docket text. /if correct
- Click Next to complete filing process
The Notice of Electronic Filing will display. It is the verification that the filing has been sent electronically to the court.
